Three Part Article
This weekend I will be taking a trip and will have some time to think and reflect, so I thought I would ask y’all to help me reflect.
Part one: What Do You Want to Read?
As I approach article number 150, and readership continues to slowly climb, I thought I would take some time out to ask you all what you want to read. So, leave a comment or email me privately by clicking on the “email the author” link at the bottom of the article and let me know what articles you would like to read?
Don’t let the limits of logic impede you, if you can imagine it and you want to read it, let me know about it. It might be something that I have wanted to do all along

Now, my answers aren’t going to help you much, but here we go…
1. I like reading anything as long as it’s well written, but I have a thing on articles on relationships and good health.
2. My favourite? The first of course is the polygamy one, then all the others line up behind it
3.How can you improve this blog? mmmh let me think about that, to get back to you soon enough. Hey, I hadn’t noticed you got Adsense?
@Kelly: Yeah, boy you really brought out the heat in the polygamy debate….though we didn’t get it to 60 comments, I think we did good work there in exposing what we knew and didn’t know about it.
The relationship articles always do very well. I am thinking of someday starting up a blog which is just about African immigrants, their relationships and sex with anecdotes and everything. I think that type of blog would do extremely well. But, noted, relationships.
Yeah I am in the process of putting some Adsense in, I should finish adding it over the next few days and will test it out over the next few weeks to see whether or not it’s suitable for my blog – I already made $0.55 so I’m pretty psyched 😀

Yeah, that polygamy thing definitely raised people’s blood pressure.

@Kelly: Indeed, it may be half a step (i.e. half a dollar) but its still some forward motion that is. Btw make sure you check out the link gal put up to the Oprah show on polygamy. Americans seem to have an entirely different and very odd relationship with polygamy. You would think that on a morality scale its lower than infidelity over there (actually, this is probably true in a lot of places outside the US as well, now that I think of it e.g. Kenya)

Let me get serious. I think your writings are well off, and just as your initial point was to help, I think I would love to read more constructive stuff that really help the african immigrant!
I cannot say that I liked or disliked some, they have been good. You talking to your sisters was an interesting one…..;the one in polygamy was long and brought different views, including twisting the whole point……the one about African writings was an educative one…all pretty good.
Don’t make any drastic change, the blog will just evolve with time, as for now its seems good.
Where are you going for the trip? Coming to Europe? Going to Africa? Or just visiting me???????
@Carol: Thanks for the feedback. I am headed to a camp in Philip Island for three days of R and R. If I came to visit you we would spend all day talking about the blog 😉
@Mwangi, actually even judging from comments on that topic, it seems hidden infidelity is more moral than open polygamy…

I’ve already voiced the fact that I enjoy the personal stories the most. I think it’s also refreshing to have a blog dedicated to informing African immigrants on how to do things right from the get go…i.e. before leaving home. The reality that faces many who live illegally is glamorized by the shroud of silence and the image that people put forth when they head home. Its great to show people the possibilities of taking advantage of the first class without losing their standing as equals in a society.
I think I’ll do some research on applications for greencards to Denmark and UK (under the holiday program) then maybe you could do an article on that….hmmmm
