Just received the email about 15 minutes ago. In about three hours- on Tuesday 1st July 2008 at 3 a.m. (GMT +3h)- I am going to be on the show Urban Nites on Capital FM in Nairobi, Kenya.
Capital FM, for those who don’t know, is one of the largest radio stations in Kenya.

Kweli kikuyus help each other. You can’t ignore that it’s the truth cos tehre with mature subject matter and more fundamental in unifying people etc…but guess what, Mwangi gets airtime – and from another kikuyu. Classic.

I liked the David (Mashada) interview. A pretty knowledgeable guy who would probably be successful even if he was a scuba diver.

You know what, my hope is that, some day every single immigrant moving into a fresh new country can never say that they couldn’t find information on how to make it. I am glad that this blog is the blog you wish you had when you first reached Canada, I think the same thing when I first landed in Oz. That yay wasn’t silent, lol, all those exclamations, 😉

@meek meek: I bounced around the house for like twenty minutes straight after listening to the first part. Apparently I was spoken about a little bit more but am yet to listen to the rest of what was said about me. Still on a high from part one.
@Sema: Linda is a Kiuk? I didn’t know. So does that mean I shouldn’t expect to be on anything other than Kameme (Kikuyu music station) and Capital FM from now on? Hmmm, best brush up on my Kiuk….;) Or maybe I should change my name depending on the radio station I go to….get on a few Coast stations calling myself, Mustafa…….;)

@Carol: Glad I could take you back home. For those who don’t know, almost every radio station you used to listen to in Africa, should you Google their website, they almost always have a link like “Stream now” or “Listen live” where you can listen to the radio station live on the Internet.

@cicero: They actually didn’t interview me. They spoke about the blog and as far as I can tell, I am going to be interviewed next week. David indeed is a brilliant cat. I think one of the coolest things about this blog is just the calibre of people I am meeting and interviewing as a result, truly brilliant guys. Like just before I typed this I came from a conversation (which I will post up in about 12 days with Derrick Ashong and if you don’t know who that is please go to Youtube and type that name or look for Derrick Ashong on this site)
