A Cause for Celebration: Have a Great Day!

I interrupt the scheduled festivities to say two things:

1) Thanks to Majonzi for sharing my contact details with Kenya Imagine ( www.kenyaimagine.com ) .

2) After speaking to “Kenya Imagine”, we are now at a stage where I may very well end up becoming a regular contributor to that site.

What makes this so school is that this so far is a phenomenal week:

a) Displaced African readership has grown this week.

b)I am getting that feeling that the Displaced African is becoming its own mini-web community

c) I am going to see the Soweto Gospel Choir this Friday (click on the link and listen to them croon) and;

d) One of my favourite thinkers is in town, Erwin Mcmanus.

In short, I’m in a helluva good mood right now, so make sure you have a fantastic day, week and lifetime. OK!!!

Be blessed and bless others,

Mwangi

Update: Please make sure you check out an experiment very near and dear to my heart, Seinlife’s 30 day attempt at clean eating (and she has colourful pictures too 😀 )

    Shangwe na Vigelegele! [off to weave my sisal skirt to use during the festivities]
    No, you have a Great Day!

  2. mamashady says:

    weeeuweee!good for you,hard work does pay off!I have found myself wondering how many hours you spend online?but thats a side bar. in other news…you’re going to see Soweto gospel choir!ayaya, it was just last week that i was trying to bid for their new cd on ebay. I was unsuccessful (I’m not very good at the whole ebay thing).

  3. Mwangi says:

    @seinlife: Thank you, I will get my mwomboko, my nyatiti and the whole village to cook huge amounts of food and make it a helluva party.
    A great day I did have. I got the chance to borrow my friend’s wow-that’s-fancy vehicle and I drove around on a beautiful spring day listening to inspirational tapes and just being alone with my thoughts. I hope you enjoyed you’re day of clean eating.

    @mamashady: What makes it very cool is that right now, I am heavily focussed on increasing my readership, so they just made my job so much easier and I am so thankful to the divine force that compelled them to email.
    You wouldn’t want to know how much time I spend online, or reading about the Internet, it very well may sadden you. I will go see them this weekend and then I’ll probably post about them. I understand there are people who use “sniping softwares” in Ebay. What they do is they wait for just the final second of the auction and right then and there, whatever the bid price is, they add just an extra ten cents and steal it away from the person who thought they had it…perhaps you have been sniped!

    Congrats, two thumbs up for all the hard work you’ve put in despite the long hours. You got my support especially for believing in yourself and doing things your way man.

    go ahead and make more of those connections & am sure since you built it, prepped it and keep working with integrity, they’ll keep coming & knocking.

    That pic is hilarious ile noma kabisa!! Can’t watch the vids right now as am still toiling through this huge project I’m sending out in a couple of hours but will make time once on break…self-imposed break.

    Enjoy the concert man!

  6. Mwangi says:

    @akiey: Here’s to your project’s overwhelming success.
    Isn’t it odd how no matter how old or sophisticated we get, we still find monkey’s and slapstick humour funny?
    Akiey, you’re endless support and optimism always psyches me up…cheers 😀

  7. Kelly says:

    Hey, enjoy the concert! All the best even as you seek to grow your blog and all.

  8. Mwangi says:

    @Kelly: Thank you thank you thank you….exciting time 😀

  9. majonzi says:

    so glad they contacted you! happy blogging!

  10. Mwangi says:

    No majonzi, thank you 😀

  11. seinlife says:

    @Mwangi – aren’t you a darling – thanks for the support!

  12. Mwangi says:

    @seinlife: I did give my word….I intend to follow in your footsteps very shortly.

  13. you know, it’s true what they (whoever they are) say – happiness is contagious! congrats again! dem stars are not as far away as we like to think, huh 😉

  14. Mwangi says:

    @sci: I agree….maybe we are on the stars right now and don’t even know it 🙂 Hope the happiness bug caught you too.

  15. akiey says:

    Peace to you Mwangi, just coming around to urge you on and cheer for you through this. As Sc-Culturist says, it’s contagious & the more folks catch the success vibe the better the results.
    Some folks assume inspiration only has to come from/go to those near u geographically but who said we all can’t reap some benefits off of all the mess that is globalizatoin?

    When one among hard working folks make it then the rest do to.
    Hongera, tena sana!

  16. Mwangi says:

    @akiey: At the risk of sounding redundant….:D thanks so much!
