Do You Know Sound Editing?

Hey folks,

As a lot of you will know, one of the things that sets
www.theDisplacedAfrican.com apart is the fact that it has its own
Podcast, the Displaced African Podcast:
www.thedisplacedafrican.com/category/displaced-african-podcast/

I am sure a lot of you have heard it and I hope its been of value
and use to you.

REQUEST FOR HELP

I am basically writing this email to see if anyone out there has
sound editing skills and is willing to help me out with the process
of editing the Displaced African Podcast.

You would help me get the insights of African experts from all over
the world, including Derrick Ashong, David Kobia and Benin Mwangi
from African Path (the next podcast coming up) and share them using
the podcast format.

If you are interested, leave a comment below or contact me and let me know.

Have a great one,
Mwangi

  1. I wish I can help. I am yet to figure Podcasting out myself. It is good that you gave a shout in a post. Someone is bound to come along and offer some help.

I’ve seen it work several times. I needed help and I wasn’t shy to just shout it in a post. I got more than I expected.

Keep it up. Your blog is going places. 😉

  2. @Nigerian Entrepreneur: Thanks for the kind words. Btw, if you want more information on podcasting you can join my free email newsletter on it at http://www.mypodcastingtutor.com. I have screen shot videos and guides that may assist.

Otherwise, you could always ask your questions here, I am learning a lot about podcasting at the moment because of the process of creating a podcasting course.

  3. I wish I could help you, I am looking for the same sort of help and my cousin has music/studio experience and I need his help with a project I have in the works.

Anyway, how are you? Haven’t seen you around in a while.

  4. @solomonsydelle: I am very well. Thank you very much for asking. I have been making sporadic appearances online because I have been working on my frist information product, http://www.mypodcastingtutor.com.

Hmm, this appears as though it is quite the challenge for quite a few people. I will keep people on the blog posted should my search bear fruit. Feel free to share any information you may get on where to source audio editing talent.

    How are you?

    Hey Mwangi,

I am a former “Pseudo-celebrity”” podcaster, and I’d love to help teach you what I know about audio editing. Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions you may have. I have used both Audacity, and Peak 4.1 and know all sorts of fun stuff about Mic techniques, mixing, etc.

If you’d like a sample, then drop me a line and I’ll point you in the direction of my old show.

    –M

@Matt: Thank you very much for that I will speak to my team who I am currently working with on a podcast project and should be in contact with you soon.
    Again, thanks for reaching out.
